I really needed some pots and pans- so I researched stainless steel and non-stick. I definitely did not want to worry about some of the scary side effects of Teflon, so it was either hard anodized or stainless steel. I ended up going with this set, and they are AMAZING. The best set of pots/pans I have ever used. I’ve had this set for a year and a half, and they are incredibly durable. I love the rubber on the handles of the pots, and also on the lids. These are NOT dishwasher safe, but it is totally worth it to me, so have such great, durable cookware. Very easy to clean by hand, and things don’t really stick to them either, so I am thrilled with this, and will definitely buy from this company in the future.

Review

I like these shoes, but don’t love them – yet. I have other Dansko products that seem to be more comfortable. I don’t think the size is wrong, but I have relatively high arches and I’m going to have to wear these with relatively thin socks until they get broken in.

They also don’t have a wooden sole which I was expecting with true clogs. It’s fine – and probably more comfortable/practical – but just wasn’t expecting anything but wood.

This isn’t my first Dansko shoe and certainly won’t be my last.

the quality on these was extremely poor. I’ve worn them about ten times and looked down today to find that the stitching all along the right hand top of the right clog had disappeared!! Can’t return them so lesson learned is buy Dansko clogs only some place that you can return them when you get lemons!!

I bought these for work as i stand on my feet all day on cement floors. I own 3 pair of Dansko clogs and will probably buy more of this brand. They are worth the money if you want comfort. I liked these particularly because of the “give” they have at the top front where there is some elastic. That way, they don’t rub the top of your foot.

I bought this to compare it to the Calphalon pasta cooker and steamer.Calphalon Contemporary Stainless 8-Quart Pot with Glass Lid and 2 Inserts

Both have an insert with holes for pasta and another insert that sits above it for steaming. You can use either or both with the stock pot. Thin spaghetti may escape through the holes of the pasta inserts.

Both have the same defect that you need to put in two quarts of water to reach the bottom of the pasta cooker.

The Excelsteel is superior in that there is a vent in the glass top. One reviewer of the Calphalon said her top exploded, although I have had no such problem in many years of use.

However, the Excelsteel steamer is too shallow. It is only 2 1/2 inches deep. The Calphalon steamer is four inches deep. Sometimes I want to steam a lot of vegetables.

Neither this product nor the Calphalon are good for an induction stove.

I find the concept of this product and the Calphalon very useful. I have one recipe which requires cooking pasta and then cauliflower in the same water. It is very easy to lift out the pasta in the pasta cooker, empty it, and then put in cauliflower in the same water.

If you cook only four servings or less of pasta, you will find the Fasta Pasta cooker used in the microwave more convenient than boiling a lot of water. The Fasta Pasta is also a lot cheaper.

But I love the steamer of the Calphalon.

Either this product or the Calphalon are much better than pouring into a colander when making too much pasta for the Fasta Pasta.
